These are some images taken during fieldwork on the Coromandel Coast, India between 2017-19. I have curated images of fish, coastal social life as well as infrastructures. This is an attempt to depict the coast as simultaneously 'natural' and 'infrastructural' and rich with life, as opposed to dominant imaginations of the coast as either inherently risky waters or as an abject space of pollution. All images are licensed under a Creative Commons "Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International" License, and images can be shared, copied, modified and distributed for non-commercial purposes, with attribution.
